My name is Jenna and I am a pickle fanatic! I firmly believe that a kitchen can bring people together. Growing up in an Italian-American household, I've always had a passion for cooking and building community through food. Whether it's a hot meal or a cold pickle, it nourishes my soul to nourish those I care about.
BIPCO got started on a hope and a dream. It had been an idea I was tossing around in my head for the last year and, after getting laid off, I decided it was the Universe's way of pushing me to start my own business. With a small army of community members who were willing to help and had the resources to contribute, we were able to get my dream and up an running in no time.
What the heck does it mean?
We're so glad you've asked.
Whereas Pico de Gallo translates from Spanish to "beak of the rooster," Pelo de Gato translates to "hair of the cat." A play on hair of the dog. We had to get creative with this name, thanks to our competitors at another [name redacted] popular pickle company, who trademarked the name of this menu item. Though our PDG is N/A, it certainly shouldn't be counted out. It's guaranteed to be some of the best stuff you've ever put in your mouth and free from trademark infringement to boot!
